The Ford F-250 and Ford F-350 use the same power door lock actuators to maneuver their door lock rods up or down in response to your command. When you push the lock button on the door panel, or the lock button in your Ford truck’s distant fob, you ship an digital sign to the actuator. The actuator then opens or closes in response to that signal. When this occurs it pushes or pulls on the lock rod, which unlocks or locks the truck’s door. Power Door Lock Actuator Installation Instructions
1. Close the F-250 or F-350′s window. Take away the ability window switch and energy lock switch bezel using a trim tool. Disconnect the switches from the wiring connector by hand.
2. Remove the hex-head mounting screws from the F-250 or F-350′s door panel with your socket set. Raise the door panel up and off the door by hand.
3. Unbolt the F-250 or F-350′s door lock actuator from the door using a socket set. Unhook the door lock and door latch rods from the actuator by hand. Remove the previous actuator from the F-250 or F-350′s door by hand.
4. Insert the F-250 or F-350′s new door lock actuator into the door by hand. Hook the door lock and door latch rods to the actuator manually. Bolt the actuator to the F-250 or F-350′s door with a socket set.
5. Reinstall the F-250 or F-350′s door panel in reverse of the way you eliminated it.
